What is a Stile?

The term stile refers to a piece of wood that is installed vertically in the construction of a cabinet frame. Two rails and two stiles are used to complete a wooden cabinet frame. The stile that is installed in the center of the cabinet frame assists in supporting the weight of the cabinet frame.
