What is Overlay?

The term overlay refers to the portion of the cabinet face frame that covered up by a drawer/cabinet’s front piece. There are two main types of overlay: full and partial. Partial overlays create about 2 inches of visible cabinet face, while full overlay covers the entire face frame.
