Mineral Streak

What is a Mineral Streak?

A mineral streak is a part of wood that has a different color than the rest, due to the mineral content it holds. It can be black, olive, or gray in color, and is created when the tree absorbs nutrients from the soil it grows in. A mineral streak is seen as an addition of value to the wood.
