What is a Light Rail Molding?

The term light rail molding is used to describe a piece of wood molding that is used to hide an under-cabinet lighting system. Though, it is used for funcitonality, it can also be an added design element. Most of the time, extra material from the construction of the cabinets is used to create this light rail molding.
