Cope and Stick

What is Cope and Stick?

Cope and stick, also known as stile-and-rail, is a technique used to join pieces of wood togther especially for cabinets. Rather than having two sharp edges together, the two pieces of wood are cut into a smooth slot so they fit together better. This technique is most common when wood or glass panels are involved in the project. This is a difficult technique, and can be expensive, but it makes the edge more beautiful and and stronger.
