Bevel

What is a Bevel?

A bevel is an edge that isn’t perpendicular. This means that a sharp angle is smoothed down so that it gentally slopes.

Beveled angles are used to on furniture, baseboards, cabinets and mirrors for aesthetic and safety. A beveled angle prevents you from running into a sharp angle and is easier to look at.

Beveled edges may also be used to joint together two pieces to more easily form a joint.
