Accents are details added to the woodwork of cabinets that are only there for visual aesthetic. They offer no impact on the stucture of the cabinets.

Types of accents can include moldings, legs and feet, split turnings, or an onlay. Technically handles and hinges can be categorized as accents, but have so many variations among themselves that they create their own category.
