What is a 1 inch Overlay?

A one-inch overlay refers to the amount of the cabinet frame the drawer or door is covering. A one-inch overlay extends one inch out from the end of the drawer in every direction, leaving very little of the frame, about ⅜”, visible.

The one-inch overlay has become a popular style because it presents a cleaner look, with the kitchen and cabinet doors seamlessly covering virtually the entire frame of the cabinet.
